I don't like verbosity in blog posts...
… because this article on ‚semantic anchors‘ could be summarized by the following:
You can use any id on the page for anchor targets; that's semantically
more meaningful than just using an empty anchor, because you actually target the
element you want to refer to and don't create a bogus element.
Note how for someone, who already grasped the concept of semantics, the second part could be left out, so the complete article shortens to eleven words, reducing it to 3,35% of the original length. ;)
Take that with a grain of salt (for example, I think the intended target audience of that website actually might benefit from the verbosity).
